Rust, wood, mould and texture

LI have taken a real interest in the older looking more worn out doors that I have seen on my travels and I decided I wanted to go into more detail of the natural decaying and aging of the doors, the acts of nature and rusting of metal. I though it was really interesting to draw and research these things and I really enjoyed making visual mind maps on the theme. Looking and natrual things like mould, ivy and weeds growing around houses and also the rusting of things such as locks and door knobs on doors. Another thing I looked at was the rotting of wood and how effective it looks.
