FMP (3/5/16)

Today I have started to paint on my final canvas. Looking through all of my work I realised that the colour yellow cropped up quite a lot and I realised how much I love the brightness and happiness it shows. I wanted to paint over the collaging slightly using a bright colour that stands out. This is why I chose yellow. I applied the yellow acrylic using a flat pallete knife and scraped it into the surface using different techniques. Some patches where smooth and some textures. I really love the bits of collage and writing peeking through the yellow patches. I think that this yellow will go really well with blues and purples too.
