Studio work FMP 9/3/16

Today I did some sketchbook work in my free time at college. I decided to start some primary research and studies so I looked at some images I had taken when I went to Italy on holiday. Because of the way I'm planning to go with this project I wanted to recreate this image using thick paint and a pallete knife. 

I chose this photo because I'm planning on doing a lot of my work and research

on buildings that layer up. I really enjoyed doing this piece and I like the texture I was able to create with the paint and the pallete knife. I'm glad that I could still create the abstract style of work that I enjoy using the theme given.
